Fire and Desire Monique LamontContemporary romanceAvailable from Parker PublishingISBN: 978-1-60043-015-2
Being the governor’s daughter has taught Tiffany to live a life that is above reproach, but when Tiffany wakes up in bed with a man she doesn’t know, she knows she’s made a big mistake . What’s more, she’s married to him. As the awful truth of her actions sinks in, Tiffany sets off with plans of a quickie divorce with none the wiser. But, Trevor has other plans. His plan has worked flawlessly and he’s not ready to give up without a fight.
Having always lived in the shadow of her father’s political career, Tiffany has allowed herself to be wooed by a man she doesn’t love, and let a business started with her best friend fall squarely on her friend’s shoulders. When Trevor reappears in her life, she’ll find that the night of passion and her marriage might not have been such a mistake after all.
Fire and Desire is a great story of finding one’s self. The romantic element to this story was great and I loved that the story unfolded in such a way that I was interested in seeing the antagonist get his just deserts. Miss Lamont has penned a great tale of revenge and the sometimes unforeseen consequences of vengeful actions. When I first started reading, I wasn’t sure that I was going to enjoy this story, but I am awful glad that I kept reading. I highly recommend this story to those who love a strong romance with a meaning behind it. A unique aspect to this book was that at the end, it includes discussion questions. It gave me a glimpse into what the author truly hoped I would get out of this book and I must say she did a stellar job of getting her point across.
